So I went on a date once.
It was arranged over Grindr, nothing sordid, just a coffee.
The picture he sent was nice, looked friendly, funny, all that stuff.
Then he showed up...
Not my type in the slightest, but I thought "Hey, you're here now, why not see what happens? Maybe you'll get along?"
Started chatting while walking to the coffee place (I'm gonna guess Starbucks cause its the gay date place of choice), realised I was forcing myself to be interested, smiling and nodding but not really listening, mirroring body movements slightly, but I still kept on going with the date. Kept on pretending I could be interested, all the while in my head I'm screaming "GET THE F*CK OUT OF THERE!"
But I stuck to it, kept on trying to be interested in this guy, was fighting to keep the conversation going...
I lasted 15 minutes. Didn't even get to the coffee shop.
Ended up calling my mate to fake an emergency, she came up with some homework issue, I raised it to a said a hasty goodbye and got out of there ASAP.
There wasn't a second date.
